Job Summary
SFI is hiring a member of our Facilities Team based at SFI’s Miller Campus (located in Tesuque) to assist with all aspects of on-campus maintenance and events operations as needed. This includes support for daily operations of the campus and on-site support for event execution.
This job is critical to daily operations and does not lend itself to remote work.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure campus is welcoming to employees, visitors, and residents by facilitating the maintenance of buildings and grounds including direction of vendors; this includes opening and closing of campus buildings
- Provide on-site coordination for occasional events at our Miller Campus including event set up and take down
- Acts as catering supervisor, hospitality assistant, or server as needed
- Use all Facilities databases for tracking vendor communications, work orders, etc.
- Respond to emergent needs of residents, visitors, and employees
- Use of personal vehicle for tasks related to this position is required
- Duties for this position may change as needed which requires flexibility and adaptability
Job Requirements
- Ability to think ahead, work under pressure and with short turnaround time, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines, as well as the desire and devotion to make every event a success
- Ability to understand visitor and staff needs, and to connect them to the right person at the right time
- Experience working with a team to facilitate and host events — including those at a larger scale
- Basic understanding of commercial facilities and maintenance
- Scheduling flexibility required; there will be some evening and/or weekend work
- Ability to work with various managerial styles and personalities, and to work as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and set priorities; work with minimal supervision
- Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
- Expected fluency with a wide range of software tools, including Salesforce, MaintainX, Wrike, Box, calendaring and email
- Must have and maintain NM Servers License (SFI will cover costs)
- Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs
- Smart phone is required
